Piolo Pascual has had enough of bashers and negativity — so he’s choosing to ignore all of them. A classy move, if you ask us.
On Wed, Jul 20, Moi Bien, the actor’s trusted and loyal assistant, shared a photo on his personal Instagram.
It showed Piolo and his 18-year-old son both lying down, Iñigo’s head on his father’s chest, arm locked in a half-embrace.
It was a sweet and touching father-and-son moment. Like, really.
“This is so heartwarming. I am 50 and I am very clingy to my daughter who is half my age and she treats me like her child now that she’s all grown up. People who belong to families whose members are affectionate with each other are the most blessed ones. This is how a family should be, and this is precisely why it’s called that,” said one Instagram user charrypotter.
“They deserve to love and and show their affection for each other…and that is what the photo says. Pure parental love,” said another user thedonberon.
So it’s a crying shame that some netizens still wrote malcious interpretations of the picture (though it appears that the negative comments have already been removed).
“Kumbaga hindi ko na pinagtakahan ‘yun. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung nature ng tao eh, mapagmasama, ‘yung mapagduda… My son didn’t see me for two months, you know, so ganun kami. Ganun kami ka-affectionate sa isa’t isa, so mainggit na lang sila, di ba,” Pascual told Pep.ph.
(“I am not surprised about this. Some people are naturally doubtful and malicious. My son didn’t see me for two months, you know. We are affectionate towards each other, so everyone else can just die of envy.”).
Piolo, a graduate of staunchly-Catholic University of Santo Tomas, had been away with Jodi Sta Maria and Hayden Kho to attend a course at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetcis, according to Rey Pumaloy of Abante.
The actor pointed out that in his many years in showbiz, he’s learned to ignore the bashers.
“Sa tagal ko ba naman sa industriya, papatol pa ba tayo? Ipinagkibit-balikat na lang ‘yun at mas maraming may kuwentang gawin sa buhay kaysa pumatol,” he added.
(“In all my years in showbiz, I have learned to ignore things like this. I have better use of my time than deal with stuff like this.”)
You go, Papa P! We hope Iñigo will handle the bashers as well as you do.
Because Gerald Anderson and Pia Wurtzbach neither confirmed nor denied…or even commented…that “something” happened between them on the set of Star Cinema’s My Perfect You, their first movie together, all sorts of “versions” heated up the social media:
That it was Pia who “visited” Gerald at his room on the set in Zambales (“where there was no signal, except Smart and the store was two hours away,” Pia related in a STAR interview); and where cast and crew were locked up for more than two weeks;
That it was actually Gerald who visited Pia at her room. (Gerald related in an interview that the “cottages” had no comfort rooms and they had to walk a little far when they needed to use one); and
They were so engrossed in their characters that their love scenes looked “realistic” (very convincing).
In my Conversation before the “wild rumor” cropped up, I asked the stars, If you were not “committed,” would it be possible for you to fall for each other?
Pia: I don’t think it would be difficult for anyone to fall for Gerald as he is such a gentleman. He’s close to his family and he takes his work seriously. Those traits are admirable in a man.
Gerald: Pia has all the qualities of being a good girlfriend.
The complainant, security guard Christian Joseph Floralde reportedly agreed to settle with the camp of Sanvicente in exchange for an unknown amount of money.
The camp of the security guard defended the decision of the complainant.
