Ong was also a candidate for the 2019 Philippine Senate election, largely capitalizing on his social media presence. He was a candidate for vice president in the 2022 Philippine presidential election as the running mate of former mayor of Manila Isko Moreno.
In the YouTube video, Doc Willie confirmed his doctors found a tumor called a sarcoma in his abdomen with a size of 16x13x12cm. He was unable to detect it himself because it was hidden behind the heart and in front of the T10 spine.
The mass is also blocking the doctor's esophagus, inferior vena cana, and right atrium.

ALICE GUO, NAHULI NA SA INDONESIA
Naaresto na sa Tangerang City, Indonesia dakong ala-1:30 ng madaling araw ang sinibak na alkalde ng Bamban, Tarlac na si Alice Guo nitong Miyerkules ng madaling araw, ayon sa mga opisyal ng National Bureau of Investigation.
Samantala, pinapurihan ni Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary ang pagkakaaresto kay Guo sa Indonesia.

Inaasahang ililipat ng Indonesian authorities ang kustodiya ni Guo sa Bureau of Immigration at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa lalong madaling panahon tulad ng sinapit ng kanyang kasamahan na sila Shiela Guo at Cassandra Li Ong na dinampot naman sa Batam, Indonesia noong Agosto 21.
